Collaborative Support From Toronto Cardiologist David Newman M.D.

March 2008, Gordon received collaborative support regarding her Matters of the Heart series from Toronto cardiologist David Newman M.D. Dr. Newman allowed Gordon to “shadow” him on cardiology rounds and to observe electrical physiology cardiac procedures. He provided Gordon with devices which had been used in cardiac procedures and which she incorporated in her sculptures of the heart.
